I hate award ceremonies. Particularly for actors and films, because instead of saying “hey every single person worked hard and made this a great film” they tell everyone that it was one person “only you made this good, just you, no one else was good”. There’s always “best lead” “best supporting” which is stupid, because you’re just telling someone that being the slightly less central character is less important than being central in terms of how much work you put in. And anyway I dont think that the “supporting” actor should even be called that, because they are not there to “support” the lead, they dont serve just to make them look good.
It’s stupid and self-important.
